The flowers serve as a balance in my work, where there is death, there is life; where there is chaos, beauty also sits. In a world where social media, the news, and world leaders act in a way that gives people no stable ground, where things could feel on fire, the flower series serves to show “it’s not all bad,” that there is still beauty and peace in the world, and often those things are set outside what we are forced to focus on.
